Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of the month-end close.
  • CPA preferred, but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience in a high-growth, multi-entity, or fast-paced environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
  • Oversee general ledger activities and internal controls.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting areas: AP, AR, fixed assets, prepaid, payroll accounting, intercompany as applicable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and business decisions.
  • Support annual audit, tax compliance, and external reporting.
  • Identify process improvements and automate manual workflows.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff as the team grows.
  • Support special projects and operational initiatives.

We are partnering with a highly regarded and growing company to identify an Accounting Manager who will play a key role in supporting its continued expansion. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys owning the close process, improving processes, and working closely with leadership in a collaborative environment.

About the Role

The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and help build scalable processes as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting packages, and variance analyses.
  • Oversee general ledger activity and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Manage key areas of day-to-day accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, payroll-related accounting, and intercompany activity, as applicable.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and business decision-making.
  • Support the annual audit, tax compliance, and other external reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and automate manual accounting workflows.
