Job summary

Midway Car Rental is seeking a part-time Accounting Intern to support its Business Office for a 90-day period with potential for full-time hire. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or current enrollment with an expected graduation window of Winter 2026 through Spring 2027.

Compensation includes hourly pay plus a monthly bonus, with the ability to work 20–24 hours per week. The intern will help enter vehicles into software, manage inventories, process titles, and handle accounts

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with expected graduation Winter 2026 through Spring 2027
• Typing 50+ WPM and 10 key by touch
• Knowledge of Excel and Outlook
• Detail oriented and well-organized
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Available to work 20-24 hours per week
• Pass background, pre-employment drug test, SSN validation, and background check
• Clean driving record with MVR monitoring and driving history requirements

Responsibilities

• Enter new vehicles in rental software and update purchase schedules
• Maintain and reconcile vehicle inventory schedules
• Enter car information into rental software
• Process new titles in the title website and rental software
• Register new vehicles and renewals
• Manage funding receipts, curtailments, payoffs and flooring schedules
• Keep organized record-keeping for titles; prepare titles for FedEx
• Release Liability with DMV and assist with miscellaneous projects

Description

We are seeking an Accounting Intern (part time) to support Midway Auto Group's Business Office. They will support our business lines: Midway Car Rental, Midway Leasing, and Midway Group. This position is a 90 day internship with a possibility to hire to full time. This position requires a bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date of Winter 2026 through Spring 2027. Accounting or Finance degree is a plus.
Compensation will be hourly plus monthly bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Enter new vehicles in car rental software and vehicle purchase schedule
• Maintain and reconcile vehicle inventory schedule
• Enter car information updates to rental software
• Process new titles in the title website and rental software
• Process registration of new vehicles and renewals
• Enter funding receipts, curtailments, payoffs and update/reconcile flooring schedule
• Maintain an accurate and organized record-keeping system of titles
• Prepare titles for FedEx shipment
• Release Liability with DMV
• Assist in any miscellaneous projects that are assigned
• Handle in a professional and confidential manner all correspondence, documentation, and files.
• Process Wholesale Report of Sales
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Required to help transport company vehicles from one location to another

Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date of Winter 2026 through Spring 2027
• Type 50+ WPM and 10 key by touch
• Knowledge of Excel and Outlook
• Detail oriented and well-organized
• Ability to work in an environment requiring multi-tasking abilities
• Available to work 20-24 hours per week
• Pass background; inclusive of Pre-Employment Drug Test, SSN Validation, and Criminal Record
• Clean driving record with no drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years; No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years; No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3-5 year period. Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring
• Minimum 3yearsof licensed driving history

Pay:

• Hourly rate of $19.00 - $20.00 plus monthly bonus
• The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, and education when applicable.
