Job summary

Xpress Distributors Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support daily transaction processing across our family of companies. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on training, growth opportunities, and exposure to AP/AR and month‑end close.

You will enter invoices in QuickBooks or Zoho Books, process payments, send statements, maintain master files, and help with routine office accounting tasks in a busy multi‑entity environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative roles
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or Zoho Books; training provided
• Basic understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Professional communication skills for vendor and customer interactions
• Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets (basic formulas, sorting, filtering)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established processes
• High school diploma required; accounting coursework or degree is a plus

Responsibilities

• Enter vendor bills and invoices into Zoho Books and QuickBooks across multiple entities
• Process accounts payable: prepare check runs, ACH payments, and credit card payments
• Generate and send customer invoices and statements
• Apply customer payments and post to correct accounts
• File and organize receipts, invoices, and statements (digital and paper)
• Match purchase orders, packing slips, and vendor invoices (three-way match)
• Maintain vendor and customer master files with accurate contact/payment info
• Assist with mailing checks, scanning documents, and routine office tasks
• Support Bookkeeper with data entry during month-end close
• Communicate with vendors/customers on billing and payment questions
