Xpress Distributors Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking an in-office Accountant to join a growing portfolio across beverage CPG and distribution.

You will work alongside ownership to maintain accurate books and provide visibility into the company's finances, with a clear path to Senior Accountant or Controller as the business scales. This hands-on role requires meticulous work across multiple entities, strong GAAP understanding, and the ability to improve processes as the organization expands.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Working proficiency in Zoho Books and QuickBooks.
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, accruals, and GAAP.
• Ability to reconcile accounts independently and close books monthly.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple entities at once.

Responsabilités

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and merchant accounts monthly across multiple entities.
• Maintain books in Zoho Books and QuickBooks, including journal entries, AP, AR, and GL upkeep.
• Process vendor bills, customer invoices, and payment runs.
• Track intercompany transactions and assist with month-end close.
• Support sales tax filings, 1099 prep, and year-end close coordination with our outside CPA.
• Maintain organized digital records for all transactions.
• Flag discrepancies and propose process improvements.
• Help build and refine internal accounting workflows as we scale.

About the Role

This is a hands-on accounting role with real visibility into how a growing business operates. You will work directly alongside ownership across a portfolio of companies in beverage CPG, brand incubation, distribution, and wholesale, including Savia USA, SmartBrands USA, and Xpress Distributors.

What You Will Do

What We Are Looking For

Bonus Points If You Have

• Multi-entity bookkeeping experience
• Inventory accounting background
• Experience in beverage, food CPG, distribution, or wholesale
