Job summary

CP Build Enterprises is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support AP/AR in a fast-growing interior finishes contracting firm. The role emphasizes accuracy, vendor invoicing, invoice matching, and client billing while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in accounting, solid bookkeeping knowledge, and proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software. Flexible schedule and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of cross-functional accounting experience or education preferred.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Prior experience with job cost accounting is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and promptly in compliance with company policies.
• Perform full-cycle AP functions, including three-way invoice matching, approvals, coding to GL, and check runs.
• Verify, classify, post, and record financial transactions.
• Assist with bank deposits and other daily accounting tasks.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices; reconcile AR ledger; manage lien waiver requests.
• Contact customers regarding past-due balances and pursue resolution while maintaining relationships.
• Prepare reports and support weekly AR meetings; investigate billing discrepancies.
