Qualifications

Job description

Embassy Suites Austin Downtown South Congress is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team.

Enjoy scenic views of the Austin skyline from our downtown hotel, located next to the Congress Avenue Bridge and Lady Bird Lake. The property features 262 guest rooms, over 2,300 sq ft of meeting space, an indoor pool, free made-to-order breakfast, and a complimentary evening reception.

The ideal candidate has previous hospitality finance or accounting experience, with Hilton experience preferred.

What will I be doing?

As an Accounting Clerk, you will respond to guest inquiries, resolve billing disputes, perform month-end duties, and prepare daily receivables to support guest service and financial goals. Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously
  • Researching and resolving billing disputes efficiently
  • Completing month-end responsibilities, including report preparation and billing
  • Preparing and posting daily receivables from event contracts
  • Verifying receiving tickets, purchase orders, and invoices
  • Reviewing final statements for accuracy and mailing sales contracts
  • Preparing journal entries
  • Handling guest service calls and correspondence
