Job summary

Referment is partnering with a global investment firm to add an associate to its Management Company Accounting team within Financial Operations. The role owns the recurring close, reporting, and control environment for US and international management companies, with opportunities to modernize processes through AI and automation.

You will manage close activities, prepare financial and ad hoc reports for leadership, support regulatory filings, and collaborate across teams to improve efficiency

Qualifications

• Two years of accounting experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field; CPA required.
• Solid understanding of the recurring close and reporting cycle.
• Forward-looking mindset on generative AI and automation.
• Attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Manage recurring monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reporting for the team and firm leadership, with accuracy and timeliness.
• Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements and related filings.
• Help design and adopt generative AI and automation tools to improve workflows.
• Partner with colleagues across Financial Operations and Legal and Compliance to address reporting needs and improve processes.
