Job summary

Purchasing Power is seeking a Manager of Accounting to lead the close process and grow the accounting team as a public company. You will own the general ledger close, manage a Team of accountants, and drive SOX compliance while championing AI-enabled process transformation.

You will mentor staff, review analyses for senior management, and support SEC filings with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. This hybrid role is based near Atlanta with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA required; MBA a plus.
• 7–10+ years in accounting, SEC reporting, and SOX.

Responsibilities

• Manage full end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close under US GAAP.
• Directly mentor accounting staff and foster accountability.
• Review flux/variance analyses and contribute to reports for management.
• Assist in SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) preparations.
• Ensure SOX 404 controls and ICFR design and maintenance.
• Lead process improvements and automation initiatives in close and reporting.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Operations.
