Job summary

Instructure is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to guide financial operations for a privately held SaaS company. You will oversee complex month-end and quarter-end closes, own specialized accounting functions, and drive process improvements while leading a distributed global team.

The role emphasizes SOX-compliant workpapers, audit-ready financials, and strategic partnership with the business. Experience with AI-assisted close is highly valued, and travel to Salt Lake City may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite, FloQast, Coupa and/or Brex is preferred.
• Experience with AI agents to automate close procedures and uncover efficiencies.
• Advanced Excel modeling and data integrity are essential.
• Deep understanding of GAAP and SOX controls; strong balance sheet reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Team & Cross-Functional Leadership: Mentor a distributed global team and partner with internal stakeholders.
• Process Improvement, Scaling & AI Integration: Lead AI-enabled close tasks to drive efficiency.
• Month-End & Quarter-End Close: Own P&L expense accruals, payroll, royalty, fixed assets, leases and other close items.
• Advanced Reconciliations & Cash Management: Manage reconciliations for 18+ subsidiaries and 130+ material accounts; ensure SOX controls and audit schedules.
• Strategic Initiatives: Lead cross-functional projects related to growth, systems, and integrations.
