Our client is a highly respected, mission-driven organization that plays an important role in supporting the local community. They are looking for an Accounting & Administrative Assistant to join their team on a full-time, contract-to-hire basis.

This position is a great fit for someone with experience in AP/AR, bookkeeping, payroll, data entry, or general office administration who enjoys variety and is comfortable helping with different areas of the business. You'll work closely with the Business Manager and team to keep day-to-day administrative and financial tasks organized and on track.

  • Process payroll and assist with routine payroll-related tasks
  • Enter and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable information
  • Assist with monthly financial entries and general bookkeeping
  • Maintain accurate records and perform routine data entry
  • Coordinate employee schedules and communicate schedule changes as needed

  • Jump in to help wherever needed to keep the office running smoothly
What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. You don't need to be an expert in every area — we're looking for someone who has a solid foundation and is comfortable taking on new responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Some experience with AP/AR, bookkeeping, accounting support, payroll, or related administrative work
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to manage recurring tasks and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is highly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while also being part of a team
  • A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • A helpful, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to pitch in where needed

Education: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Recent graduates with relevant coursework, internship experience, or prior office/accounting experience are encouraged to apply. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Why This Opportunity?

You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple areas — including accounting, payroll, scheduling, and general business administration — while working as part of a team that makes a meaningful impact in the local community.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, regular daytime hours
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire
Starting Pay: $24+/hour, based on experience
