Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking an Account Specialist in Henderson, NC to monitor fleet status and ensure strong communication between drivers and the on-site terminal. You will support customer service, manage driver work, and help maintain delivery schedules.

The role focuses on building client relationships, analyzing freight demand, and coordinating with drivers and vendors to keep shipments on time.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1–2 years of field operational experience or related management experience required.
Transportation, Logistics, and/or Tech industry experience a plus.
Demonstrated analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to generate high freight order volumes.
Analyze freight and staffing demands and plan accordingly.
Dispatch drivers to trailers and schedule loads for customer delivery.
Provide information on delivery schedules and issues; supply drivers with packet information.
Monitor in-transit deliveries and keep customers updated on status.
Perform data entry for accounts and prepare appropriate reports.
Schedule, manage, and communicate with vendors about inbound freight and pickup/delivery times.
Collaborate with organization at all levels to harness collective intelligence.
