Job summary

Next Street seeks a dynamic Account Manager for the Beverly Gray Business Exchange Center in Buffalo. You will deliver services to diverse small businesses, manage client relationships, and help access capital through traditional and alternative lenders.

The role requires 2–3 years with entrepreneurs, a client-centric approach, and strong analytical and communication skills. You will collaborate across offices and participate in events to foster partnerships and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience with entrepreneurs/small businesses; banking/financing a plus.
• Strong client-centric approach and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with Buffalo’s economic and community development landscape.
• Experience planning/deploying business development strategies; direct sales preferred.
• Proven analytical, written, and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to review loan applications and financials; experience a plus.
• High integrity and professionalism; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver The Exchange’s services to small businesses and entrepreneurs at various stages.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery and exceed goals.
• Build long-term relationships with high-potential clients.
• Help clients access capital and connect to lenders.
• Coordinate with legal, accounting, and planning services.
• Assist with M/WBE certification processes and related documentation.
• Drive customer acquisition, partnerships, and CRM activity tracking.
• Collaborate across Next Street offices to meet client needs.
