Job summary

Next Street is seeking a dynamic Junior Finance Account Manager for the NYC Business Solutions, Lower Manhattan Center. You will connect entrepreneurs to financing options, manage client relationships, and support center operations while helping meet annual financing targets.

Reporting to the Center Director, you will collaborate across Next Street teams, engage with community organizations, and support workshops and outreach to growth-focused small businesses in NYC.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working with entrepreneurs on banking, finance or lending.
• Experience using customer relationship management tools or other database systems.
• Understanding of the small business landscape and services in NYC.
• Ability to work under pressure in team or solo settings.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Experience in face to face sales and/or customer service preferred.
• Analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
• Independent work with initiative.
• Flexible, customer-focused and goal-oriented.
• Ability to plan and collaborate with many stakeholders.
• Aptitude to manage toward deadlines.
• Spanish or another second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Connect small business clients to services and resources to grow their business.
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver services and exceed annual goals.
• Engage with a wide range of small businesses to understand needs and make recommendations for city support.
• Respond to inquiries and document interactions using the City’s CRM system per standards.
• Engage community organizations and stakeholders to improve access to services.
• Provide advice on business and capital options relevant to clients.
• Create, review, and analyze financial statements for clients.
• Maintain knowledge of financing landscape and connect clients to lenders.
• Manage Center marketing and drive business development to attract and retain clients.
• Support team plans, monitor activities, and engage stakeholders.
• Assist in workshops and respond to inquiries per QA practices.
• Attend events to strengthen partnerships and development efforts.
