Job Summary

The Account Manager reports directly to the Regional Sales Director. This position is responsible for a geographical sales area, prospecting new customers and maintaining and growing existing customer business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving sales growth through Knowledge-based Selling Approach—building deep understanding of customer needs, leveraging product knowledge, and engaging regularly with customers and distributors.
  • Leveraging a Consultative Approach—developing a deep understanding of customer needs to move quickly from prospect to solution.
  • Delivering personalized insights and solutions rooted in Sealed Air's value proposition, discussing product and solution value with customers.
  • Demonstrating market and solution knowledge—understanding industry needs and economic drivers, articulating Sealed Air’s solutions.
  • Driving sales planning and growth—creating a sales and growth plan for the assigned geography.
  • Maintaining accounts—supporting customer relationships, addressing issues, and ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Driving profitability—working with marketing to review and improve account profitability, launching new products.
  • Managing administrative duties—completing tasks such as pricing, CRM reporting, and expense management.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • BA/BS Degree required; MBA or MS a plus.
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong communication, critical thinking, and business acumen.
    • Goal-oriented, self-starter, excellent time management.
    • Ability to influence, negotiate, and work across teams.
    • Ability to travel overnight.
