Job summary

The Standard is seeking an experienced Group Insurance Account Manager to serve as the primary liaison for key policyholders and producers across assigned territories. You will conduct frequent on-site visits, negotiate terms, review renewal data, and partner with sales and underwriting to drive profitability and retention.

Based in the Northeast region, the role requires travel within the territory and a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in group insurance account management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of group insurance account management experience in the 2500+ lives space.
• Life and Disability insurance license for all states within territory.
• Own automobile with adequate insurance and a safe driving record.
• Ability to travel within territory for client and broker meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage primary relationships with key policyholders and producers through frequent on-site visits, negotiation, responsive communication and meeting customer expectations.
• Work with clients to understand concerns and act as liaison between home office and customers to initiate plan improvements and resolve administrative inconsistencies.
• Organize face-to-face renewal visits to present claims analysis and review contract adequacy, recommending coverage or changes as needed.
• With sales and underwriting, monitor renewal activity and present renewals with a customized strategy to retain accounts.
• Coordinate enrollment processes and facilitate benefit fairs, supporting new administrators at assigned in-force accounts.
• Identify opportunities to promote additional lines of coverage or plan improvements on assigned block of business.
