Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines in Southern California with 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance. The role focuses on retaining books, servicing clients, and renewals, with a hybrid work option across Aliso Viejo, LA County, Ontario, San Diego or Santa Barbara.

Ideal candidates hold active P&C licensing (CIC preferred) and excel in client service, relationship building, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
