Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. Hybrid options allow one day in-office and remote work for eligible zones, with focus on construction, contractors, and habitational risks. An active P&C license is required, CIC preferred.

The role emphasizes leadership of the account management team, policy administration, renewals, and proactive client service to drive retention and growth.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Active property & casualty license required; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor and manage activity to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively respond to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership while championing IOA values.
