Job summary

Fastenal is seeking a Full-time Account Specialist in Reading, PA to grow and support branch key accounts. This role focuses on building relationships and aligning products to customer needs within a local territory.

You will develop sales strategies, manage an assigned book of business, and work with customers to meet targets while upholding Fastenal’s core values. Training and development are emphasized as part of our School of Business program.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements to operate a company vehicle.
• Pursuing or earned degree in Business/Marketing, or related industry experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Self-motivated, customer service oriented.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs, up to 75 lbs.
• Pass drug screen (US, Puerto Rico, Guam).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a local sales plan to reach and exceed sales goals.
• Support day-to-day needs of the branch's key accounts.
• Work directly with key accounts.
• Grow and maintain an assigned book of business.
• Perform other duties as needed to ensure branch success.
