Job summary

Qualifications

• Three to five years of underwriting experience.
• Strong critical thinking to underwrite and price risk.
• Excellent communication for negotiating with agents and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Execute underwriting strategies to achieve profit and growth objectives.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents/brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans aligned with team goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
