B&B Italia USA is looking for an Account Executive to join our showroom team, reporting to the Store Director. You will build and grow relationships with the interior designers, architects, and clients who drive the business in your market, and guide their projects from first conversation through delivery. This role is built for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, design-oriented environment and is motivated to grow a real client book.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the relationship and the revenue for your assigned trade accounts, and lead prospecting through studio visits, trade events, and proactive outreach.
- Be a hunter: build relationships with interior designers and architects in their studios, at trade events, and on project sites.
- Maintain a minimum of 20 trade touchpoints a week, with at least 10 of those in person.
- Guide clients and their designers from first conversation through specification and selection, space planning, furniture layouts, and finish and fabric choices, through to order placement and follow-up after installation.
- Visit job sites and residences to assist with measurements, layouts, furniture selection, and final installation.
- Deliver lunch-and-learns and product presentations to design firms, building trust through expertise.
- Engage and convert retail walk-in clients when you're present in the showroom, every visitor is an opportunity.
- Help keep the floor presentation sharp.
- Be the first point of contact when something needs resolving on one of your accounts, and own keeping that designer coming back.
- Maintain deep product knowledge across the full B&B Italia range: materials, finishes, customization, and new launches.
- Keep CRM records current for every account and project you touch.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor product lines, and industry developments.
- Collaborate with the Design and Customer Experience Department on qualified projects through delivery.
This Might Be You
- Experience in luxury retail, furniture sales, interior design, or high-end client services preferred.
- A genuine track record of closing complex sales and building a real client book.
- Equally comfortable presenting to an architecture studio and helping a walk-in client on the floor.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Lives in the CRM because a missed detail costs a deal, not because it's required.
- Carries the brand: understands B&B Italia's history well enough to make a client feel it, not just recite it.
- Self-directed. Moves without being pushed, and builds your market like it's your own business.

Who We Are
B&B Italia was founded in 1966 by Piero Ambrogio Busnelli, built on the ability to read contemporary culture through design and anticipate how people actually want to live. That mission hasn't changed: create the most innovative, iconic, and timeless design furniture, guided by values that are bold, contemporary, innovative, and visionary.
The ambition is backed by real craftsmanship and industrial depth, not just design. Manufacturing happens largely in house, materials and components come from Italian suppliers close to home, and the collection takes shape through direct collaboration with internationally known designers and architects. Durability is treated as part of that commitment too: a product built to last reduces the need to replace it, which the company counts as real sustainability, not just a claim.
Today the work reaches far beyond Italy. Foreign markets account for roughly 80% of revenue, and the business spans residential, hospitality, corporate, marine, and retail projects, with almost forty years of experience in contract furniture. Joining the team means working inside that history, with real craft and real reach behind every project.
