Poltrona Frau is seeking a refined, relationship-driven professional to join our showroom team as a Sales Associate. This hybrid position combines luxury sales, business development, and interior design consultation, making it ideal for someone who possesses strong commercial acumen, an appreciation for exceptional design, and a passion for delivering an elevated client experience.
Working closely with private clients, architects, interior designers, dealers, and developers, the Sales Associate will guide projects from initial inspiration through specification and final sale while cultivating long-term relationships within the Architecture & Design (A&D) community. This individual will contribute to business development initiatives, support showroom operations, and serve as a local brand ambassador for Poltrona Frau.
This role reports directly to the Showroom Manager.
Main Activities
Sales & Business Development
- Deliver an exceptional luxury showroom experience by welcoming clients and guiding purchasing decisions with professionalism, discretion, and expertise.
- Execute sales activities to achieve individual and showroom sales goals.
- Identify, develop, and maintain new business opportunities while nurturing existing client, dealer, and A&D relationships.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline through networking, prospecting, referrals, and follow-up activities.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, revisions, and project documentation while ensuring timely communication throughout the customer journey.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, visit reports, client databases, and project tracking.
- Represent Poltrona Frau at showroom appointments, presentations, networking events, and industry functions.
- Collaborate with the Showroom Manager to support operational initiatives, business objectives, and overall showroom performance.
Interior Design & Client Experience
- Guide clients through the design and specification process while providing thoughtful product recommendations tailored to their lifestyle and project requirements.
- Develop furniture layouts, finish selections, product specifications, and presentation materials for residential and commercial projects.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, developers, dealers, and project teams to ensure design intent, technical alignment, and project continuity.
- Curate solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, project timelines, and budget while reflecting the brand's design philosophy.
- Provide technical product knowledge and design consultation throughout the sales process.
- Support projects from concept through completion while delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Provide showroom floor coverage as needed, supporting appointments, walk-in clients, and peak traffic periods.
- Assist with showroom merchandising, inventory organization, and maintaining luxury visual presentation standards.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in luxury furniture, high-end retail, interior design, architecture, business development, or a related client-facing sales environment.
- Experience working with architects, interior designers, developers, dealers, or luxury residential/commercial projects preferred.
- Demonstrated success building client relationships, developing new business, managing multiple projects, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong consultative selling abilities with a customer-first mindset.
- Highly organized with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, CET, or similar design software is a plus.
- Existing relationships within the Architecture & Design (A&D) community are highly desirable.
- Passion for luxury design, craftsmanship, and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Base Compensation Range is from $60,000 - $70,000K
This role is eligible for a commission program.
