Job description

We have built the product and established strong relationships across the identity ecosystem. Now we are building the repeatable sales motions that turn those relationships into customers. That is this role.

As an early member of our commercial team, you will own a defined set of opportunities from initial follow-up through qualification, sale, and customer activation. You will start with leads generated through one of our key identity partners and help turn that motion into a playbook we can expand across additional partners and channels. This is not a traditional SDR (sales development representative) role where your job ends when a meeting is booked. You will learn the product, understand the customer's use case, determine how IdRamp fits, and move straightforward opportunities all the way through activation.

What we are looking for:

someone who would rather own a deal end to end than hand it off, and who is curious about how software systems connect. You do not need to be an engineer, but you should want to understand APIs, endpoints, identity systems, and how data moves between platforms. As you grow, so will the role: additional partner channels, self-generated pipeline, more complex deals, and a hand in shaping how we build our broader sales organization.

Responsibilities
  • Own follow-up and qualification for leads generated through key IdRamp partners, building trust with prospects and understanding the business problem they are trying to solve.
  • Translate customer needs into clear use cases and determine when an opportunity fits a standard IdRamp solution.
  • Manage straightforward opportunities from initial conversation through close, payment, activation, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate demos, proposals, pricing, next steps, and customer activation so buyers have a clear, responsive experience.
  • Learn IdRamp's products, identity provider ecosystem, and common customer workflows.
  • Develop a working understanding of APIs, endpoints, integrations, and how enterprise systems communicate, and recognize when an opportunity needs engineering or leadership brought in.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, customer context, next steps, and pipeline visibility.
  • Capture what works, turn successful sales motions into repeatable playbooks, and apply what we learn from one partner channel to scale similar motions across others.
  • Prospect and develop new opportunities in coordination with the sales team, and attend industry conferences, partner events, and customer meetings to build relationships.
  • Bring customer feedback and market insights back to product, engineering, and leadership.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years in sales, business development, customer success, account management, consulting, or another customer-facing role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and comfort speaking with prospects and building customer relationships
  • Highly organized, responsive, and persistent with follow-up, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and keep next steps moving
  • Curious about technology and motivated to understand how products work
  • Comfort learning technical concepts such as APIs, endpoints, integrations, and data flows
  • Able to work through ambiguity, solve problems independently, and know when to ask for help
  • Motivated by building a new revenue motion rather than inheriting a mature sales process
  • Bias for action, you take ownership and move things forward without waiting for every step to be defined
