Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking an Account Director to own a book of recurring clients. You will retain relationships, drive renewals and identify expansion opportunities, while coordinating with strategists and the delivery team to present one clear client voice.

The role is full-time and remote within the USA or Canada, offering base plus commission and a 50/50 split. You will need agency experience and a proven track record of growing client spend.

Qualifications

• Agency account management experience in marketing, digital, creative or advertising is required.
• Proven record of retaining clients and selling more work with measurable results.
• Comfort carrying a quota and meeting or exceeding targets.
• Clear, calm communication with senior client stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Own retention across your book, managing relationships, renewals and early warning signals.
• Identify and close upsell opportunities within each client account.
• Manage a seven-figure annual quota across retention and upsells.
• Collaborate with strategists and delivery teams to present a unified client voice.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is a remote digital agency running paid media, SEO, CRO and web for marketing-led brands. As Account Director you own an established book of recurring agency clients. Our sales team wins new clients; you keep them and grow them.

What You Will Own

• Retention across your book: the relationship, the renewal and the early warning when an account is drifting.
• Upsells and expansion: finding the next project inside each client and selling it.
• A seven-figure annual quota across retention and upsells.
• Working with the strategists and delivery team who run the work, so the client hears one clear voice.

What You Need

• Agency account management experience. Marketing, digital, creative or advertising agency. This is a must.
• A record of keeping clients and selling them more work, with numbers you can walk us through.
• Comfort carrying a quota.
• Clear, calm communication with senior client stakeholders.

Base plus commission, split 50/50.
