Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN seeks a Coordinator of Accessible Technology to provide technical assistance, training, and support for students, faculty, staff and administrators in implementing accessible technologies across campus. The coordinator also manages accommodated testing and helps maintain accessibility standards for IT.

Travel to regional campuses is required; collaborate with IT and other units to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1, Section 508 and the ADAAA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• One year of related experience.
• Experience with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, magnifiers) preferred.
• Higher education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities in acquiring accessible formats and loaning equipment.
• Train students and faculty in the use of assistive technologies.
• Serve as liaison to administrators and staff on accessibility initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT, Distributed Education and Web Design to promote universal access.
• Monitor compliance with WCAG 2.1, Section 508, and ADAAA.
• Oversee intake, scheduling and administration of accommodated testing.
• Travel to regional campuses to provide assistive technology services.
• Participate in committees and professional development.
• Other duties as assigned.
