Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Access Services Auditor to improve accuracy and productivity in registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and financial counseling. The role includes delivering training, monitoring demographic and financial data quality, and leading process improvements.

Responsibilities include conducting audits, designing tests, reporting trends, and collaborating with staff to implement new procedures.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in health care registration, quality examination, insurance billing and registration, finance or customer service.
• Requires knowledge of general insurance terminology including governmental and commercial payers.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient typing and keyboarding skills; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular and frequent account audits for employees.
• Conducts monthly audits on aspects within Access Services (e.g., MSPQ, ABN, IMM, consents).
• Designs and delivers computer and procedural training programs for staff.
• Designs tests to assess employee knowledge; maintains test documentation and reports results to management.
• Identifies problems and reports trends; recommends training and process improvements.
• Implements new processes to improve staff accuracy, image and productivity.
• Monitors industry changes and updates; revises training programs accordingly.
• Collaborates with internal/external staff to develop new procedures or programs.
• Monitors accuracy of demographic and financial information captured at registration.
• Provides feedback and reports results to management.
