Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Three+ years of coordinator experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Experience in fast-paced pediatric healthcare environments is required.
• Advanced scheduling experience is preferred.
• Excellent telephone and written communication are essential.
• Strong customer service and ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Educates referrer/family about next steps for the initial visit.
• Assists schedulers in coordinating complex appointments and services.
• Obtains insurance information and coordinates with Financial Counselor for benefits and authorizations.
• Collects clinical information required for initial visit.
• Receives and tracks clinical documents from external hospitals.
• Develops systems to automate referrer communications and supports clinical teams.
