Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery invites applications for a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The role supports expanding clinical, educational, and research programs within a tripartite mission of care, teaching, and discovery.

The candidate will focus on reconstructive surgery including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand surgery, and general reconstruction, with opportunities to shape the practice and participate in

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Provide breast reconstruction services at a nearby affiliate hospital.
• Expand transgender care and aesthetic practice.
• Deliver clinical care at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
