Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery seeks a full‑time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand clinical, educational, and research programs. The appointment includes leadership opportunities and a collaborative, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications: MD or DO, completed ACGME Plastic Surgery residency, board‑eligible or ABPS certified, NY licensure eligible, and a commitment to education. Fellowship in microvascular surgery desirable.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reconstructive and microsurgical procedures across breast, craniofacial, hand, and general reconstruction.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Participate in teaching and research within the integrated residency program.
• Collaborate with affiliates and VA Medical Center to expand services.
