Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The role supports growth in clinical care, education, and research, with opportunities in breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand techniques, and microsurgery.

Candidates should be board-eligible/certified, have an ACGME plastic surgery residency, and be eligible for NY licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in teaching (didactic and clinical).
• Fellowship in microvascular surgery is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in plastic and reconstructive surgery with emphasis on breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand surgery, and microsurgery.
• Engage in teaching activities for residents and medical students.
• Participate in clinical and translational research within the division.
