Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery invites applications for a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The candidate will participate in reconstructive microsurgery, craniofacial and hand surgery, and general reconstruction, while contributing to education and research within a thriving academic environment.

Ideal applicants hold an MD/DO, completed ACGME plastic surgery residency, and are board-eligible or board-certified by ABPS; NY licensure

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by ABPS, or foreign equivalent recognized by ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Provide reconstructive and microsurgical procedures including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Contribute to education and research within the integrated residency program and Albany Med Health System.

Formation

MD/DO degree or equivalent

ACGME Plastic Surgery residency

ABPS board-eligible or board-certified

New York State medical licensure eligible

Teaching experience in clinical and didactic settings

Fellowship in microvascular surgery desirable
