Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are expanding our clinical, educational, and research programs and welcome candidates who are eager to contribute to this growth.

Qualified candidates will participate in reconstructive microsurgery, including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial and hand surgery, as well as general reconstruction.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reconstructive surgical care including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand and general reconstruction.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call as part of the on-call duties.
• Engage in clinical teaching of residents and medical students.
• Contribute to research, education, and program development within the Division of Plastic Surgery.
