Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand clinical, educational, and research programs. The role includes reconstructive surgery, teaching medical students, and contributing to research within a collaborative faculty.

Responsibilities include independent hand and face trauma call, possible involvement in breast reconstruction and transgender care expansion, and delivering care at affiliated facilities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent) required.
• Completion of an ACGME Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the ABPS (or foreign equivalent).
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated teaching ability in clinical and didactic settings.
• Fellowship in microvascular surgery desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care across reconstructive surgery and related services.
• Teach residents and medical students within an integrated residency program.
• Manage hand and face trauma calls independently as needed.
