Job summary

Albany Medical Center seeks a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to grow its clinical, educational, and research programs in the Division of Plastic Surgery.

The role emphasizes reconstructive surgery, including breast, craniofacial, hand, and general reconstruction, with responsibilities for trauma call and teaching in a collaborative academic environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide plastic surgery care including reconstructions and microsurgery.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Collaborate on breast, craniofacial, and transgender/aesthetic services.
• Deliver clinical care at affiliated sites including VA and regional centers.
