Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery is recruiting a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to grow our clinical, educational, and research programs in the Capital Region.

Ideal candidates will focus on reconstructive surgery including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction, with the ability to participate in trauma call and collaboration with affiliate sites and the VA Medical Center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board-eligible or board-certified by ABPS.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and ability to teach.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide plastic surgery care including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand, and general reconstruction.
• Participate in resident and medical student education.
• Engage in clinical care, teaching, and research.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
