Job summary

Albany Medical Center’s Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand clinical, educational, and research programs.

The role emphasizes reconstructive surgery including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial and hand procedures, with opportunities to teach within an integrated residency program and contribute to research initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconstructive surgery including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Participate in resident education and research within an integrated residency program.
• Deliver clinical care at Albany Medical Center and affiliated sites.
