Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand clinical, educational, and research programs. We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in reconstructive surgery, including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, and hand surgery.

Candidates must be able to take independent hand and face trauma call and participate in expanding transgender care, aesthetic

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Provide breast reconstruction and other reconstructive services as part of the program.
• Deliver clinical care at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
• Engage in medical student education and research; contribute to teaching and clinical care across the division.
