Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand clinical, educational, and research programs. We are seeking surgeons with a strong interest in reconstructive surgery, including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction.

Candidates must be able to take independent hand and face trauma call, and will have opportunities to provide breast

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent) and completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Fellowship in microvascular surgery desirable but not required.
• Strong clinical and didactic teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide breast reconstruction services at a nearby affiliate hospital.
• Expand transgender care and aesthetic practice.
• Deliver clinical care at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Contribute to education and research within the integrated residency program.
