Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We're expanding our clinical, educational, and research programs and welcome candidates who are eager to contribute to this growth.

There are opportunities to provide breast reconstruction, craniofacial work, hand surgery, and general reconstruction, with the ability to participate in transgender care and aesthetic practice.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical teaching ability; teaching experience welcomed.
• Fellowship in microvascular reconstruction is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reconstructive and microsurgical plastic surgery services including breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand and general reconstruction.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Participate in clinical care, teaching, and research within a collaborative team.
