Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to grow our clinical, educational, and research programs.

We welcome candidates with a strong interest in reconstructive surgery, including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction with microsurgery, and who can take independent hand and face trauma call.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated teaching and clinical education experience.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reconstructive microsurgery including breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction.
• Perform microvascular and microsurgical procedures as part of a team.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Engage in clinical care, teaching, and research within a collaborative academic environment.
• Participate in the division's residency program and medical student education.
