Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand our clinical, educational, and research programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in reconstructive surgery, including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction with microsurgery, and must be able to take independent hand and face trauma call.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent)
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Develop and expand reconstructive surgery programs, including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction
• Collaborate on academic initiatives and contribute to teaching within the residency program
• Provide clinical care at Albany Medical Center and affiliated sites
