Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The candidate will help grow clinical, educational, and research programs and participate in a broad range of reconstructive procedures.

Highlights include opportunities for breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand, and microsurgical work, with an integrated residency program and involvement in teaching and research activities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the ABPS or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in plastic and reconstructive surgery with emphasis on hand and facial trauma.
• Participate in breast reconstruction, craniofacial, and microsurgical cases.
• Engage in education of residents and medical students and contribute to research.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call as part of the service coverage.
