Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center seeks a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The role supports expanding clinical, educational, and research programs and welcomes candidates keen to contribute to growth.

The candidate will participate in reconstructive microsurgery, including breast reconstruction, craniofacial procedures, and hand surgery, while contributing to teaching and research within an integrated residency program.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent)
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Provide breast reconstruction services at a nearby affiliate hospital and expand transgender care and aesthetic practice.
• Deliver clinical care at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
• Contribute to the integrated residency program and medical student education.
