Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery invites applications for a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The ideal candidate will focus on reconstructive surgery including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial procedures, hand surgery, and general microsurgical reconstruction.

The role requires taking independent hand and face trauma call and opportunities to expand transgender care, aesthetic practice, and care at affiliated sites.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and NY licensure eligibility.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by ABPS or foreign equivalent.
• Fellowship in microvascular surgery desirable but not required.
• Demonstrated teaching ability in clinical and didactic settings.

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Contribute to the Division's clinical, educational, and research programs.
• Participate in residency and medical student teaching and mentorship.
