Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to help grow our clinical, educational, and research programs. The role includes responsibilities in breast reconstruction, craniofacial and hand surgery, and general microsurgery within a collaborative academic environment.

Candidates should have MD/DO credentials, completed Plastic Surgery residency, and be board-eligible or board-certified with NY

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide breast reconstruction services at a nearby affiliate hospital as part of program expansion.
• Expand transgender care and aesthetic practice within the division.
• Deliver clinical care at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
