Job summary

Albany Medical Center’s Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to grow clinical, educational, and research programs. The ideal candidate will participate in breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand surgery, and microsurgery, with independent hand and face trauma call.

Opportunities include expanding transgender care, aesthetic practice, and clinical care at affiliated sites and VA Medical Center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction/microsurgery.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Contribute to clinical care, teaching, and research within the division.
