Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery seeks a full-time Plastic Surgeon at Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand clinical, educational, and research programs in reconstructive surgery. Candidates will engage in microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial and hand surgery, and participate in an integrated residency while providing trauma call and teaching.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Provide breast reconstruction services at a nearby affiliate hospital.
• Expand transgender care and aesthetic practice.
• Deliver clinical care at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
