Serves as a student advisor, collaborating with faculty in academic departments, facilitating summer advising and registration, monitoring students' academic progress and standing, assisting students in meeting degree requirements, managing caseloads, and providing additional support to students.

Job Duties

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Participating in mandatory professional development to enhance student retention and graduation.
2. Collaborating with faculty and campus organizations to support student success.
3. Facilitating summer advising and registration through meetings and presentations.
4. Monitoring academic progress, re-enrollment, and engaging in early alerts and interventions for at-risk students.
5. Assisting students with graduation requirements, course planning, and exploring transfer or study abroad options.
6. Helping students navigate Pathways Curriculum and automated systems.
7. Advising students using appropriate theories and methodologies to support their academic and professional paths.
8. Managing advising caseloads proactively to build positive student relationships and maintaining accurate records.

Education

• Required: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Preferred: Master's degree or equivalent.

Experience

• Required: 1-3 years in higher education, working with students, and academic advising or related experience.
• Preferred: 3-5 years.
