The Academic Administrative Assistant, Applied Technology and Professional Services position is a full-time career service position. The role provides administrative support to departmental staff, faculty, and students, develops a thorough knowledge of the academic programs, student services, and college processes related to the department, and maintains confidentiality in accordance with FERPA. Responsibilities include managing budget expenditures, processing payroll and personnel documents, maintaining records and reports, managing files, processing requisitions, operating office equipment, scheduling appointments, and assisting with the annual budget. The assistant works effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, demonstrates professionalism and provides quality customer service, follows instructions, and performs other duties as assigned. Availability for flexible hours, including some evenings, is required. This position is located on the Pensacola Campus and reports to the Department Head.
Bachelor's degree OR associate degree and two years of related experience; demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills; successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
Pursuant to College policy, applicants must meet the requirements of 435.04(2) Florida Statutes related to background investigations. Only candidates who pass an FDLE‑approved background check will be considered for employment.
Annual Salary: $34,675.00 ($17.79/hour)
