Job summary

Atlanta Gas Light is seeking an entry-level team member for our above-ground operations. You will join a crew that installs, maintains, and repairs gas mains and service lines, including deactivation of service and meter readings.

You will operate basic equipment, support traffic control, and participate in routine maintenance and safety tasks across above and below ground crews. The role emphasizes proper safety practices, collaboration with colleagues, and daily field duties such as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with mechanical aptitude.
• Basic knowledge and use of hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to pass basic skills and knowledge assessments.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Complete a variety of field support tasks including deactivation of service and meter-related duties.
• Assist in installing, maintaining and repairing gas mains and service lines as part of a crew.
• Perform basic tasks with equipment, traffic control, and meter reading activities.
• Conduct inspections, sniff tests, and monitor regulatory and safety practices.
