Job summary

Atlanta Gas Light is seeking an entry-level team member for above-ground field operations in the gas distribution crew. You will assist with deactivation, meter reading, ERT installations, and basic maintenance tasks as part of a crew focused on safe, reliable gas service.

Typical duties include operating basic tools and equipment, performing inspections, and supporting connections/disconnections while adhering to safety practices under a collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic tool knowledge required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently works a route to complete customer and compliance orders.
• Observes safety requirements and regulatory guidelines for compliance.
• Captures documentation in the Mobile Data Terminal and identifies abnormal conditions.
• Assists in connecting/disconnecting gas service and turning meters on/off.
• Assists in meter reading validation and inspections of above/below ground systems.
• Operates basic equipment, traffic control, and distribution duties as part of the crew.
